HIOKI Product Line - Power Analysis, Current Sensors, LCR/Impedance, Battery Testing
HIOKI is a manufacturer of innovative and high-quality devices for current sensing, power analysis and battery measurement technology. The product range includes battery testers and battery simulators, power analyzers and the matching current probes/sensors. In addition, HIOKI offers data loggers, devices for impedance analysis, R-, C- and LCR-meters as well as memory recorders.
Measurement technology since 1935: HIOKI produces everything from portable multimeters to battery testers, power analyzers to flying probe testers at its own plant in Ueda (Nagano Prefecture). The proximity between development and production guarantees the high product quality of the instruments. HIOKI develops and produces the instruments and current sensors itself, so that all components are perfectly matched to each other and have a consistently high quality level. Many devices of a series have consistent operation, i.e. a user who has learned to use one device can also quickly operate another device from the series.

Battery Testing for the Technologies of Today
Batteries play a central role in current technology. Whether in e-mobility, modern communications or the IoT, batteries are hugely important because they secure the power supply for these devices. In development, industrial production to everyday use in critical areas, batteries need to be measured, characterized, tested and monitored.
HIOKI has therefore placed one of its product focuses in the area of highly reliable an accurate battery testing. Thanks to devices from HIOKI, for example, battery diagnosis times can be reduced by about 60% with the required high accuracy. HIOKI devices help to test lithium-ion batteries: Test of insulation resistance, OCV/open circuit voltage, or internal resistance, and more.
Power Analysis for Efficient, Safe Energy Supplies
Efficiency, safety and the quality of energy supply play an enormously important role today in a time when sustainability and economy in energy consumption are essential. The power of an electrical system is the product of voltage and current (P=U*I). However, it is not quite as simple as in DC systems in practice, because here usually one has to deal with and analyze AC quantities, often even in complex multiphase systems, etc. Power analyzers are used here, which can measure or determine many other parameters in addition to voltage, current and power, including, for example, apparent and reactive power, phase angle, ripple factors and even harmonics.
