HIOKI PW8001 High Precision Power Analyzer DC, 0.1 Hz - 5 MHz, 3P4W

The HIOKI PW8100 is a high precision power analyzer to measure even large currents at voltages up to 1500 V with 15 MS/s sampling rate. The PW8001 is ideal for multi-channel measurement target applications using SiC/GaN semiconductors from automobile electrification, smart grids and reactors to renewable energy supply sources.

  • Max. 8 channels, DC or 1P2W to 3P4W.
  • Frequency band DC, 0.1 Hz to 1 or 5 MHz.
  • High measurement accuracy: Basic ±0.03%, DC ±0.05%, 50 kHz accuracy 0.2% (with 15 MS/s input unit U7005).
  • Accurate capture of power fluctuations caused by high-speed switching: Sampling performance 18 bit, 15 MHz, noise resistance (CMRR) 110 dB, 100 kHz (with 15 MS/s input unit U7005).
  • Accurately measure high-frequency, low-power-factor power: Current sensor automatic phase correction function (when used with a current sensor with automatic phase correction functionality).
  • Simultaneous analysis of 4 or 2 motors.
  • Integration of measurement data into CAN networks with CAN or CAN FD output function.
  • Safe evaluation of increasingly high-voltage solar inverters: 1500 VDC CATII/1000 VDC CATIII (with 2.5 MS/s input unit U7001).
  • New firmware 2.0 (from September 2024):
    • Power spectrum analysis: Provides clear information on power loss for efficient motor heat management, maximizing motor inverter performance. Can be upgraded free of charge for existing PW8001 analyzers.
    • Optical Link synchronization: For synchronizing two 8-channel PW8001s to a 16-channel system. All data in one file for simple, consistent data processing. Easily analyze data in systems with multiple motors and inverters. Requires model variants with optical link.
    • BNC synchronization: For synchronized measurements on up to 32 channels with 4 PW8001 devices. Can be upgraded free of charge for existing PW8001 analyzers.
