Frequently Asked Questions:
Question: What do DSOX/MSOX 4000G and 4000G have in common?
Answer: The proven features of the 4000A X series have been adopted to the series G, including, for example
- the high-quality design with excellent basic specifications,
- the 12.1"/30.7 cm high-resolution capacitive touchscreen,
- the sophisticated hardware triggers, such as zone triggers,
- the segmented memory,
- the multi-functionality with voltmeter, counter, signal generator, serial bus decoding etc.
The device series are therefore compatible and the operation and programming are identical. The 4000G X series therefore also fits perfectly into the usability philosophy of the InfiniiVision series: consistent operation from the smallest to the largest model. Once you have learned how to operate one model, you can quickly and easily switch to another from the InfiniiVision series.
Question: What is the difference between DSOX/MSOX 4000G and 4000A?
Answer: In addition to the housing color, functions that were optional in the A series are now standard (see table above):
- Integrated 2-channel signal generator, 20 MHz.
- Mask limit test, measurement limit test.
- Frequency response analysis (Bode plot).
- Serial trigger and decoding for I2C, SPI, UART, I2S and USB PD (others optional).
- Extended HDTV video analysis.
Signal and measurement histograms, which are not possible with the A series, have been added.
Question: What interfaces does the 4000G X-Series offer?
Answer: The proven interfaces have also been adopted from the A series: USB 2.0 host (3x) & device, USB test and measurement class (USBTMC) compatible; 10/100Base-T Ethernet/LAN, LXI IPv6 extended function, web remote control, VNC web interface (via common web browsers). Optionally, an ▸N4865A/ICS model 4865B can be used for GPIB systems (adapter from LAN to GPIB/IEEE488).
Agilent's Electronic Measurement Group is now Keysight Technologies.
