Microedge DSS-2 USB-Over-Ethernet Device Server
The Microedge DSS-2 is an USB-over-Ethernet device server. It connects local work sites with remote dataloggers over a local Ethernet network or the internet. You just connect it to your local Ethernet and plug a datalogger to its USB port. In your office you run SiteView Windows application and SiteView detects the remote datalogger automatically. Now you can enjoy working with the datalogger as if it is connected directly to the local PC.
- Remote access: Communicate with Microedge dataloggers from any place via Ethernet/internet.
- Multiple access: Up to five clients can access same datalogger simultaneously.
- Multiple dataloggers: Up to five Microedge dataloggers can be connected to one site USB device server.
- Password protection for security: Only authorized users can access and configure the dataloggers.
- Dynamic IP addressing: You do not need to assign the IP address manually. After the device server is connected to the network, it takes the IP address assigned by the DHCP server on your network.
- Supplies power to dataloggers: No worries about the low battery or loss of data. The USB port supplies +5 VDC to the dataloggers.
