B+K Precision BK407xC Series Dual-Channel Function and Arbitrary Waveform Generators

BK4078C (30 MHz) and BK4079C (50 MHz) Signal Generators

The B&K Precision BK4078C and BK4079C are dual-channel function and arbitrary waveform generators that utilize true point-by-point arbitrary waveform generation, producing less jitter and distortion than solutions relying on typical DDS architectures. The features a frequency range of 30 or 50 MHz, 16 bit resolution, a sampling rate of up to 250 MS/s, deep waveform memory up to 4 Mpts per channel, and 128 MB storage capacity. Standard USBTMC and LAN interfaces combined with the 407XC software, allow users to remotely upload custom waveforms and also convert binary, CSV, and text files with waveform data into an arbitrary waveform (.arb) file. A GPIB interface is available with model BK4079C-GPIB.

  • Waveforms up to 30 MHz (BK4078C) or 50 MHz (BK4079C).
  • 2 channels with dedicated output ON/OFF buttons for each channel.
  • Up to 250 MS/s sampling rate.
  • Waveform length up to 4 Mpts/ch.
  • Amplitude range of 0...10 VPP into 50 Ω or up to 20 VPP into an open circuit.
  • 16 bit amplitude resolution.
  • Linear and logarithmic sweep.
  • Modulation techniques include: AM, FM, PM, BPSK, and FSK.
  • Adjustable duty cycle.
  • Continuous, triggered, burst, and gate modes.
  • Internal/external triggering and programmable markers.
  • Variable DC offset ±5 V.
  • Low jitter <25 ps.
  • NISPOM-compliant sanitization to securely restore factory settings.
  • USB and LAN/Ethernet interfaces standard, additional GPIB on version BK4079C-GPIB.
  • 4.3"/10.9 cm LCD.
  • Internal memory to store/recall instrument setups.
  • Closed-case calibration.
  • Overload protection of the outputs.
  • cTUVus certification mark fulfills CSA and UL safety standards.
