The Icron USB 3-2-1 Starling 3251C series provides short-distance extension with all USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) device types across a point-to-point connection up to 10 m and is backwards compatible to USB 2.0 and 1.1. The extension solution consist of a LEX (local extender) and REX (remote extender). The devices are connected with CM or Plenum rated cable. The modules are bus-powered with an optional DC input on the LEX.

Question: USB 1-2-3... will the USB extensions really be compatible with my USB devices?
Answer: The Icron extensions are extensively tested and in almost all cases run without problems with all devices. The Spectra-3022 and 3011-15 models are not backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1, nor do they work with some PicoScope USB oscilloscopes. The solution is to use the Raven or Starling models. If in doubt, talk to our specialists.
Question: Over which medium do the Starling 3251C models transfer the USB data?
Answer: Depending on the version, the Starling devices work with special 10 m CM ("communications multipurpose") cable or fire rated plenum cable. The cable is included in the scope of delivery.
Question: What software do the Icron Starling USB extensions work with?
Answer: Like all Icron USB extensions, the Starling models work transparently, which means that no special driver software, configuration or communication software is required for USB data transfer.
